After graduating from West Point (BS, History and Systems engineering), I served as an Army officer in the US and Europe, deploying with the 1st Infantry Division. In the Army, I led soldiers every day on missions that depended on critical thinking, attention to detail, prompt response, clear instruction, and caring for others. These skills continue to serve me as a dissertation coach where I work hard to provide students the information, guidance, and help they need in a clear, compassionate, and effective manner.
Scholar
Following my military service, I returned to the classroom and earned my MEd in secondary education (Social Studies and Mathematics), MBA (marketing emphasis), and PhD (Mathematics). I was a distinguished graduate at West Point; received ETS recognition on the Mathematics, Social Studies, and PLT Praxis exams; earned a 4.0 in my graduate degrees; and am a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Beta Gamma Sigma honor societies. My educational experiences allowed me to learn online and onground as both a traditional and non-traditional student. I know the challenges each type of setting offers, I achieved excellence in all of them, and I am able to offer students strategies and skills to achieve mastery during their academic careers. Most notably, I completed my doctoral work in 23 months from start to finish, including my dissertation. I can help you do the same.

I have spent my entire professional life teaching, in and out of the classroom. Whether it was in the field or in garrison as an army officer, or in the classroom or on the court in school, certain fundamentals remain the same: competence, commitment, and caring. I taught mathematics, history, economics, French, statistics, research methodologies (quantitative and qualitative), human development, and study design from the secondary to doctoral levels. I have chaired and served as a member of dissertation committees,served as chair of a collegiate mathematics department, and taught both online and onground.
